Sometimes, it can be hard to tell when sick is too sick for school. You want to make sure your child is healthy and gets the healing time he or she needs and you don't want to get other people sick. At the same time, you know it is important for your child's future and success to be going to school as much as possible. Download the poster below to help you decide when your child should go to school, when your child would benefit from staying home, and when your child needs medical treatment. Remember, if your child is absent, they should return to school with a parent note, or even better, a doctor's note. If your child is experiencing chronic illness or significant medical difficulties, please be sure to connect with your child's teacher, the school nurse, or the school counselor.
